Right, anyway, Shaun was telling Jesvin about his project today, about hipsters. I love his project so much! So much research and I got to see a lot of new blogs. Really interesting and hard to define though.
Anyway, "hipsters" don't like being called "hipsters" because it's generally an insult and anyway, the category seems so undefinable. He also mentioned that you could just "look" like a hipster but really be a poser.
I remember being called a "hipster" once by a quite-good friend and I was vaguely disturbed. I've never thought of myself as fitting into a category or stereotype, I just like clothes and colours. A lot. Like maybe it might be an obsession and taking over my life but nevermind.
According to his project hipsters like to listen to indie music and I'm not particularly interested so does that mean I'm just a poser? I think the important thing is just not to be pretentious. I like my shit and I'm going to wear it. Plus I have loads of ahlian days eh. I doubt ahlian is synonymous with hipsterrrrrshit.
But if you want to call people who like to wear chained headbands a hipster, then hey, go the fuck on, because i fucking love chained headbands.
